any help or advice?

So my brother has been a drug addict and stole to feed his habit for many years and last year went to rehab and went through it all and into recovery. He was clean for 15 months and then relapsed after Christmas and has relapsed a few times since. He has been involved with drugs of some kind for 10 years or so so it has had a big part of my life. I have a 2 year old who I stopped from seeing just before he got into rehab as I felt it was not a situation that she should be in or anywhere near and I said I didn't want anything to do with him. As he was clean we got back in contact and started to re build our relationship. Since finding out about his relapse and the lies I have lost the trust that was there so feel that I can't be involved as much and need to take a step back due to the safety of my child. Also my younger brother has now heavily got into smoking weed and i know he has tried other drugs so again I feel it is best to remove myself and family from the situation and then hopefully when they are both better I can regain a relationship. After having many years of the stress and strains of not knowing someone is clean and healthy i feel that now i have a child i don't want to put her at risk as there is such a high chance that my brother's could catch something from their drug taking and then pass it onto her. This however will cause issues as my other family members fell out with me beforehand due to not staying in touch with my brother. It is also leading to massive stress with me and my fiancee and it leaves him in a difficult situation with his job and being involved with drug addicts. Any advice anyone has would be greatly appreciated as i don't really have anyone to talk to or could confide in. Thanks

I 'm really sad to hear that you don't have any one to talk to help you deal with what is such a difficult time for you.
Sadly there are lots of people going through what you are. The Icarus Trust is a charity which supports the friends and families of addicts. We offer a free service called 'Family Friends' who are trained volunteers. if you contact us we would put you in touch with one of these. They have lots of experience of what you are going through and maybe it would help you to talk to one of them.
You can contact us on or visit the website
I hope that you are able to get some support. It is really good to be able to talk through problems.
Good luck!
