London Families Network
When: 05 Mar 2012
Where: London, venue TBC
Description:
Who’s it for? Professionals who work with families affected by drug and alcohol use within London, and family members engaged with these organisations; specifically those family members who’ve been involved with organisations for a while and who would like to look more widely at the policies and practice surrounding drug and alcohol use and families. Professionals, please try and identify family members who are at the right point in their journey to benefit the group, and support their involvement.
What will the network give them? The chance to influence local strategy and practice, have a voice, come together, share experience and information, develop new collaborations, perspectives and understanding and find out about policy developments. The group’s purpose will ultimately be determined by the attendees, who will have a safe space to come together to discuss issues of mutual interest, as well as the opportunity to meet separately and talk frankly within their peer groups. Please note that this is not a support service for carers / families affected by drug and alcohol use.
Details: 12.30 - 4.30pm. Free. Email Kate Thorpe or ring on 020 7553 7646.
