New BEAD groups launching next month
10 Mar 2016
The BEAD Project – a partnership between Adfam and Cruse Bereavement Care – is launching peer-led support for people bereaved by drug or alcohol use. The groups are being piloted in London and Birmingham from April to June 2016 and are open to any adult who has been bereaved through drug or alcohol use.
London: This group is currently under way, and is full. A second group will be run later in the year - plead register your interest if you'd like to come along.
Birmingham: We don't have any dates set - if you would like to be part of a support group later in the year please let us know.
The support will be delivered via closed, structured groups and will provide a valuable source of support for those struggling with a complicated and traumatic type of grief.
Please do share this news with colleagues or contacts in these two areas.
See the support group FAQ (pdf) for more details.
