Helping to build and improve family support across the country
Adfam’s consultancy service for family support aims to build capacity within the sector and is designed to help local partnerships and DAATs address the needs of families.
In a time of increasing responsibilities towards families but less money with which to support them, Adfam aims to help local authorities improve and develop services across a whole area with maximum effectiveness and professionalism.
The purpose of Adfam’s consultancy service is to:
- Identify local needs
- Audit current provision of family support, including informal services
- Propose appropriate responses to local needs and examine options for supporting families
- Facilitate agreement on a realistic Action Plan to start the process of meeting families’ needs.
Consultancy work includes a review of national and local policy context and a wide range of local stakeholders including service providers, current and potential service users and commissioners.
Adfam’s consultants will provide a local partnership with a detailed and practical report outlining local needs and proposals of how best to meet them; another major output will be a bespoke Action Plan for responding to the findings of the report.
